Mailstop Billing

The cost of a mailstop is evaluated each month, depending on how much mail is received at your mailstop that month. Each day, we stack any mail received for your mailstop and measure the height of the stack. The total of these measurements over the course of a month puts your mailstop into one of five price brackets or ‘tiers’.

Additionally, there are two separate charges that are associated with but separate from the mailstop charge:

There is the Extra Delivery fee, which is a flat $7.20 per mailstop. This pays for the extra delivery service, twice daily Monday through Thursday, and once on Friday, to Accounting and FAST. In effect, we all share the cost of making sure our invoices and such get to Accounting and FAST in a timely manner.  There is also an Envelope Charge. This is charged at 7% of the stop charge, and pays for any intercampus envelopes you may want. Rather than count out each request for intercampus envelopes, we just charge this percentage, and you can get as many intercampus envelopes as you like.
